NJ Free
Poker Final Tournament Winner to Play in World Series of
Poker Main Event

Rafael
Krupa, the winner of the NJFP Season III Finals, will
represent NJ Free Poker in the World Series of Poker Main
Event at Caesars, Atlantic City. The WSOP event begins March
5th and Krupa, will take his sponsored seat, in the four-day
Main Event on Thursday, March 13th.
In a recent meeting with NJFP owner, Lisa Terlizzi, Krupa,
who is employed by the IRS, predicted that he would; “go far”
and finish “in the money”. When asked for a statement, here’s
what he had to say:
“I am very, very excited about the opportunity to be able to
play in such a prestigious event. As part of my preparation,
I play local events and try to see as many different types of
opponents possible to keep my reading skills sharp. My
strategy going into this event will be to study my opponents
carefully and then systematically pick my spots to acquire as
many chips early as possible. I plan on playing with a large
chip stack early to pick on the weaker players so that I can
battle the bigger stacks later on in the tournament. Even
though this tournament is a very big event and very large
field I will not let those factors intimidate or deter me
from reaching my goal, taking first place.”
Should Rafael’s prophecy come to fruition, NJFP is prepared
to arrange to bus-in any NJFP player interested in routing
him on to the Final Table. Keep your eye on the NJFP website
for details. You can also follow the action at Caesar’s,
live, on the WSOP website:

Here are some results from other NJFP Players
sponsorships:
Ren “Double-Down” Buonomo, winner of the NJFP Bar-Tab
Satellite Tournament and 6th place winner, at the NJFP Season
III Finals, finished “on the bubble” in three separate casino
events. Buonomo fell just short of the money, but had a great
time anyway. In one of his tournaments, Ren was KO’d in a
bad-beat story classic; in heads-up play, Buonomo had K-10 in
the pocket… Flop comes; 10-10-K and he can’t get away from
this one. Unfortunately, his “all-in” was all-over when he
his opponent flipped up his pocket Kings… Ouch! We may have
to change his name to Ren “Bubble-Boy” Buonomo.
In other action, here’s the report from NJFP Season III, 10th
Place winner, Adam Canvisser, who capitalized on his
sponsorship, in two separate tournaments at Harrah’s:
“I placed 8th out of sixty in the first one, they paid at 6
unfortunately, but then I took 1st in the second one of 45
players and that paid $827.00” Congratulations, Adam…
Not a bad return for a few hours of “work”!
